Round 5 of the 2026 Australian Motocross Championship heads to Appin this weekend, a venue that has delivered mixed fortunes for the Factory Honda Team in previous years, but one that also presents another opportunity to continue building momentum across both championship campaigns and commercial partnerships.

This weekend marks more than racing for the team, with Factory Honda proud to welcome new partners Austar Toy Haulers and Safe-Style, whilst continuing to celebrate the commitment of long-standing supporter Berry Sweet.

Success in modern motorsport is built on more than riders and machinery. It requires people and businesses willing to believe in programs, support athletes and invest in the long-term future of the sport.

Berry Sweet has done exactly that.

Owners Anthony and Leanne Yewers have become synonymous with supporting Australian motorcycle racing. For more than two decades, Berry Sweet has provided meaningful backing to teams, riders and events, helping countless athletes continue chasing opportunities both domestically and internationally.

Their support extends far beyond the Factory Honda Team. Riders including Bryan Staring, Kyle Webster, Charli Cannon and Todd Waters have all benefited from their generosity and belief in Australian talent. Even Australian Olympians have received support through Berry Sweet’s commitment to helping athletes pursue excellence.

Anthony himself is a former Australian ATV Champion and, alongside his family, has maintained a lifelong passion for motorcycle racing and supporting the people within it.

This weekend, Kyle Webster and Alex Larwood will proudly compete under the Berry Sweet Honda banner in the MX1 and MX2 categories respectively.

Joining the Factory Honda family in 2026 is Safe-Style, one of Australia’s great modern business success stories.

Founded by Tim Lewis, Safe-Style began from a simple observation whilst working as a plumber, why did safety glasses have to look disposable and uninspiring?

That question evolved into Safe-Style becoming a category-defining Australian brand, creating the world’s first stylish safety glasses and building an enormous following through retail and direct-to-consumer channels.

Today, Safe-Style products are sold nationally and continue to expand aggressively through innovation and customer engagement.

Safe-Style now joins Honda Racing Australia and this weekend is supporting one of the sport’s brightest emerging stars.

Kayd Kingsford enters Appin carrying momentum and unfinished business.

The reigning MX3 Champion and winner of two rounds of the 2026 MX2 Championship currently sits second in the standings after losing valuable championship points at Round 3 following a broken collarbone sustained only days before competition. Remarkably, after undergoing surgery, Kingsford still lined up just days later to salvage points and keep his title aspirations alive.

Weeks later, he returned to the top step at Toowoomba, reinforcing why many consider him one of Australia’s most determined and exciting young talents.

Safe-Style’s additional support of Kingsford reflects their belief in resilience, ambition and backing people willing to do the hard work.

Ryder Kingsford and Heath Fisher will also race this weekend with increased support from Austar Toy Haulers.

As a family-owned Australian business, Austar Toy Haulers has built a reputation for combining craftsmanship, functionality and lifestyle to create premium toy hauler solutions for Australian families and motorsport enthusiasts.

Built on family values and passion, Austar represents the same philosophy that underpins grassroots motorsport, creating opportunities to travel, compete and enjoy the sport together.

Whilst the team welcomes new partnerships and opportunities, there will be one notable absence this weekend.

Wilson Todd will sit out Round 5 as he continues managing the impact of previous injuries and ongoing physical challenges.

The multiple-time champion has shown incredible resilience throughout his career, but together with the team, the decision has been made to prioritise his long-term health and wellbeing.

Factory Honda Team Director Yarrive Konsky acknowledged both the support of the team’s commercial partners and Wilson’s difficult decision.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have partners who genuinely care about the sport and the people in it. Berry Sweet has been supporting riders and teams for years, Safe-Style has come in with incredible enthusiasm and Austar immediately understood what we are trying to build.”

“Partnerships are not simply logos on motorcycles. They allow us to compete, employ people, develop riders and continue pushing to improve every weekend.”

Konsky continued regarding Todd.

“Wilson has been managing ongoing issues associated with years of injuries and racing at the highest level. Together, we have made the decision that the priority right now is his health.”

“Wilson is one of the toughest competitors I have worked with and nobody wants to be racing more than he does. At this stage we are not placing timelines or pressure on his return. We want him to focus on getting healthy, enjoying the process and making the decisions that are right for him long term.”

Factory Honda heads to Appin focused on continuing its championship campaigns whilst celebrating the people and partners helping drive the team forward.

See you at the races.
