Honda Australia Makes History Again, Sweeps All Four Motocross Championships for Second Year in a Row!

In what was once considered unthinkable, Honda Australia has done it again, claiming all four national motocross titles for the second consecutive year in the 2025 Australian Motocross Championship. This extraordinary feat underscores a rare dominance in the sport and cements Honda’s legacy as a powerhouse in Australian motocross.

Honda Racing Australia secured championships in the MX1, MX2, MX3, and MXW categories, repeating last year’s unprecedented clean sweep.

Vice President of Honda Australia, Peter Singleton, expressed immense pride in the achievement:

MX1: Back-to-Back Glory for Kyle Webster

Boost Mobile Honda’s Kyle Webster delivered a season of resilience and determination, overcoming injuries and setbacks to successfully defend his MX1 title.

“After round one, I wasn’t sure I’d make round two. The crash hurt, then I broke bones in my back before Warwick. I didn’t know how I’d bounce back. But they say you’ve got to be in it to win it and it couldn’t be more true. I’m so proud of the team and thankful to our sponsors. This victory proves the power of perseverance,” said Webster.

Webster’s teammate, Wilson Todd, aboard the Berry Sweet Honda CRF450RWE, clinched his first MX1 championship podium with third overall, helping Honda win 10 of 15 races in the premier class.

“The results don’t always show the battles we face. It’s been a tough two years mentally and physically, but I’m stoked to finish with a round win and a top-three overall result,” said Todd.

Todd will now focus on the 250 class for the upcoming Australian Supercross Championship.

MX2: Connolly Clinches Back-to-Back titles with Dominance

Brodie Connolly, riding the Polyflor Honda CRF250RWE, sealed the MX2 title with a round to spare and closed out the season with a commanding final moto win.

“The goal was always to win the championship, and we did that early. Crashing in moto one today made the final round tough, but I’m glad I ended on a high,” said Connolly.

Teammate Alex Larwood, supported by National Finance and Loans, finished fourth overall after multiple podiums and a round win.

“Of course, I wanted more, but there’s a lot to take from this season. I’m focused on Supercross now and already looking forward to next year,” said Larwood, who has re-signed with the team for 2026.

MX3: Kayd Kingsford Dominates

Kayd Kingsford stormed to the MX3 title, winning 11 of 16 races and six of eight overall rounds in a commanding season.

“I can’t thank Honda enough for believing in me. I’ve said it before. this team knows how to win. Now I’m focused on finishing my SX3 career with a Supercross title,” said Kingsford.

Also in MX3, Honda’s Jett Alsop showed remarkable grit, pushing through injury in the final round to secure second overall, with two race wins and an overall victory during the season.

“This has been my best season in the pros. I’m so grateful to Honda, this means everything to me and my family,” said Alsop.

MXW: Charli Cannon Goes Back-to-Back

In the Women’s Motocross Championship, Charli Cannon delivered a flawless season, qualifying fastest at every round and winning every single race to go back-to-back for Honda.

“It’s an amazing bike and an amazing team. I’m so proud to win another title with Honda,” said Cannon.
