In the high-intensity world of motocross and supercross, elite-level fitness is not optional, it’s essential. Recognising that peak performance comes from meticulous training both on and off the bike, Honda Racing Australia has officially partnered with Concept2, a global leader in high-performance training equipment.

Honda Racing Australia’s Team Director, Yarrive Konsky, explains the motivation behind the partnership:

“We take fitness seriously. Strength, endurance, warming up properly, recovery, it all plays a role in a rider’s ability to perform at the highest level. Concept2 isn’t just another training brand; it’s the benchmark. Our riders already rely on their rowers and SkiErgs, so bringing them onboard as an official partner just made sense.”

Founded in 1976 by brothers Peter and Dick Dreissigacker, Concept2 has become synonymous with innovation in the performance training space. From rowing and skiing simulators to bike ergs, their equipment is trusted by Olympic athletes, military units, and now, Australia’s top motocross riders.

Scott Mullen, General Manager of Concept2 Australia, is proud to align with the championship-winning team:

“Motocross and supercross athletes push their bodies to extremes, mentally and physically. Our equipment trains the full body: legs, core, arms, back, shoulders, and heart. It’s designed to mirror the demands of racing – power, repetition, and mental endurance. Honda Racing Australia continues to set the bar, and we’re excited to support them with the tools that help riders thrive off the bike.”

As part of the partnership, Honda Racing Australia and Concept2 will introduce a dedicated Warm-Up and Recovery Zone at the races, allowing riders to prepare and recover using Concept2’s elite-level equipment. Additionally, the team will host fan activations and competitions at select rounds, where privateers and fans can test their strength and endurance against the team’s benchmark scores.

“We’ve had Concept2 products in our team gym for over a decade,” Konsky added. “It’s fun to see who can pull the highest watts or hold pace the longest. Now fans and privateers will get the chance to take on our riders in real-time at the track.”

Current Australian Motocross Champion Kyle Webster played a key role in pushing for the partnership:

“I’ve trained with Concept2 equipment for years. I asked Yarrive to approach them, not knowing he already had. Their rowers, BikeErg and SkiErgs are a massive part of my training. It’s exciting to have them on board, and I’m looking forward to sharing some of my workouts with the riding and racing community.”

The partnership will also include the creation of a training video series, where Honda Racing Australia riders will demonstrate how to use Concept2 equipment for motocross-specific conditioning, warm-ups, and recovery strategies.
